Curry gets another Southern Conference honor

Davidson guard Stephen Curry has been named the Southern Conference Male Athlete of the Year after leading the Wildcats to basketball's NCAA Elite Eight last season.

Curry was a second-team Associated Press All-American and averaged almost 26 points. He set an NCAA Division I record by making 162 3-pointers last season. He was previously named the conference's basketball player of the year, and is the first basketball player from the conference to win the male athlete of the year award in 17 years.

Chattanooga women's basketball player Alex Anderson was the conference's female athlete of the year.
