The Deacons will host the Golden Gophers in their first ACC/Big 10 Challenge game in two years. … Wake Forest saw its two-game win streak snapped with a 72-65 loss Friday to Delaware State, the Deacons’ first loss to a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference school in 18 games. … Minnesota, coached by Richard Pitino – son of Louisville coach Rick Pitino – is coming off a 66-62 victory over Georgia on Friday in the NIT Tip-Off tournament. The Golden Bulls will play their first game in 10 days, opening their CIAA schedule against the Lions. … After opening with two straight losses, J.C. The Boilermakers won two of three games in the Maui Invitational, beating Missouri and Brigham Young, with an 88-79 loss to Kansas State. Coach Matt Painter has flipped his roster in hopes of getting back to the NCAA tournament for the first time since the 2011-12 season. Freshman power forward Vince Edwards has been Purdue’s best player. He had 25 points and nine rebounds in the 87-85 overtime win against BYU. Chip Alexander

The Bulldogs will play a top-5 team for the fourth time in program history and first since 2009. … Gardner-Webb beat Brevard, an NCAA Division II team, 78-63 Saturday to snap a two-game losing streak. … Arizona won its second straight Maui Invitational title Wednesday, beating San Diego State 61-59 in the championship game.
