Davidson shot 58.9 percent and made 34 of 36 free throws as the Wildcats won their fifth straight game Wednesday with a 110-99 victory over Montana at Dahlberg Arena.
Davidson led 45-42 at halftime and 102-97 with 1:16 left, pulling away in the final minute minute with six free throws.
Guards Jack Gibbs, Brian Sullivan and Tyler Kalinoski combined for 71 points – Gibbs scored 28, Sullivan scored 22 and Kalinoski scored 21. The Wildcats also got double figures from Jordan Barham, who had 16 points and Peyton Aldridge, who added 14.
Martin Breunig led the Grizzlies with 30 points, and Jordan Gregory finished with 29.
Davidson (7-1) just missed tying the school record for most points scored in a road contest. The record is 111, set against William & Mary, on Feb. 4, 1964.
Montana fell to 3-5.
