Stephanie Watts, Weddington girls: McDonald’s All-American had 32 points, nine assists, eight steals and seven rebounds in a 74-48 win over Piedmont in Saturday’s Southern Carolina conference championship game. Teammate Remi Roberts added 14 points and 13 rebounds.

Zasha Barrett, Monroe girls: 25 points, 19 rebounds, four blocks and four steals in Friday’s 70-67 win over Parkwood.

Mary Katelyn Nethery, Bible Baptist Christian girls: 24 points, 14 rebounds, four blocks and four steals in Friday’s 49-40 win over Tri-City Christian.

Parker Julian, Charlotte Latin: 28 points and 10 rebounds in Thursday’s 74-68 win over Forsyth Country Day in the first round of the N.C. Independent Schools playoffs. Latin plays Greensboro Day in Thursday’s state quarterfinals at Arden Christ School.

Cydne Pennington, Charlotte Latin girls: 17 points, six rebounds (all offensive) and three steals in a 47-45 win over Covenant Day last week in the first round of the NCISAA playoffs. Freshman Claudia Dickey hit a three-pointer with one second left to send the game to overtime.
