Canaan Cox, Statesville Christian: Ran 25 times for 240 yards and five touchdowns in Friday’s 47-8 victory over Fayetteville’s Trinity Christian School in the N.C. Independent Schools Division III semifinals Friday. Statesville Christian will host Fayetteville Village Christian in this week’s state final.

Ryan Ensor, Charlotte Latin: Knocked down potential state championship-winning 2-point PAT pass attempt from Charlotte Christian’s Garrett Shrader to secure a 28-27 victory and his school’s first state title in seven years Friday. Ensor caught four passes for a game-high 85 yards and also punted.

Bates Jones, Charlotte Latin: Playing with shoulder injury, Jones completed 14-of-19 passes for 204 yards and a score in Friday’s state championship game.

DeMarkes Stradford, Charlotte Latin: Ran 27 times for 181 yards and two touchdowns in Friday’s state championship game.

Justus Woods, Charlotte Christian: Ran 24 times for 109 yards and two touchdowns in Friday’s state championship game.
