Players who had top performances in Friday’s high school football games:

Julian Boddie, Providence: In 23-7 win over East Mecklenburg, Boddie ran 25 times for 109 yards and a score. He had 23 yards receiving.

Xavier Brooks, Shelby: 26 carries, 143 yards and a score in a 14-7 come-from-behind win against Morganton Freedom.

Derion Kedrick, Rock Hill South Pointe: Clemson recruit completed 20-of-27 passes for 200 yards and a score in a 39-7 win against Rock Hill Northwestern. He rushed nine times for 97 yards.

Nick Lyerly, Jordan Medley, AL Brown: In a 56-0 win against Hopewell, Lyerly ran 14 times for 160 yards and two scores. Medley, the quarterback, ran 16 times for 150 yards and a touchdown. He also completed 8-of-12 passes for 112 yards and a score.

Lamagea McDowell, Charlotte Catholic: He had 23 carries,and 131 yards in a 19-14 win over Charlotte Christian.

Tyler Stinson, Shamar Baker, Newton-Conover: Nine carries for 128 yards, two scores in a 51-0 win over Bunker Hill. Quarterback Baker threw for 208 yards and two touchdowns. He ran for another.

Martin Sumichrast, Charlotte Latin: 260 yards total offense, three touchdowns in a 49-6 win over Colleton Prep.
