Here are 7 football games to watch Thursday night

Concord (1-1) at Hough (0-2), 7 p.m.: Sophomore L.J. Currie is averaging 133 yards rushing a game for Concord. Hough has moved the ball well but lost heartbreakers to unbeaten Harding and Providence.

Garinger (0-2) at West Mecklenburg (2-0), 7 p.m.: First-year Garinger coach Jeff Caldwell takes his team against the unbeaten Hawks, led by quarterback Preston Brown.

Hopewell (0-2) at Monroe (1-1), 6 p.m.: The visiting Titans have a pair of 56-0 losses, but Monroe is trying to bounce back from a 55-0 loss to Vance. Redhawks QB Trey Shepherd will be a big test for Hopewell.

Providence Day (1-1) at Andrew Jackson (1-1), 7:30 p.m.: The Chargers visit South Carolina for the second straight week. Both teams have several college prospects on their offensive and defensive lines.

Weddington (1-0) at Porter Ridge (2-0), 6:30 p.m.: Junior QB Grayson McCall has thrown for four Porter Ridge touchdowns this season, but he faces tough Weddington defenders in LB Eamon Murphy and DB James Shipley.

Burns (0-1) at Shelby (2-0), 7 p.m.: This Cleveland County rivalry pits a young Burns defense against an explosive Shelby team coming off a 21-point victory against 3A power Asheville Reynolds.

Jay M. Robinson (1-1) at Hickory Ridge (2-0), 6:30 p.m.: A Cabarrus County rivalry showcases running back Que Reid of the visiting Bulldogs and receiver Jarett Garner of the Ragin’ Bulls.
