Remember Ian Miller?

He was a two-time Observer player of the year at United Faith Christian Academy in 2008-09 and 2009-10. He was a high profile college recruit. Miller attended Florida State and averaged 13.7 points as a senior in the 2013-14 season. He was part of Florida State’s 2012 ACC championship team.

Miller worked out for the Hornets in June of 2014. Right now? He’s playing for PMS Torino in Turin, a metropolitan area of about 2.2 million in northern Italy. In January, Miller signed with PMS Torino after averaging 20.3 points per game for Jesi, another Italian league team.

Miller’s new team has qualified for the Italian League best-of-3 championship series that begins Sunday against Agrigento. Miller, a reserve, is averaging 12 points and two assists in his rookie season. So Charlotte could have two professional basketball champions this summer if Miller’s team wins in Italy and Stephen Curry can lead the Golden State Warriors past LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA finals that begin next week.
