Hickory RIdge swimmer Parker Murphy is The Charlotte Observer high school athlete of the week for the week of Nov. 22.
The Ragin’ Bulls’ junior won the 100 butterfly (53.52) and finished second in the 200 individual medley (2:00.18) as Hickory Ridge beat Cox Mil and Mount Pleasant at West Cabarrrus YMCA on Nov. 13.
Murphy’s time were both 4A West Regional qualifying cuts.
