Cole Bloomer, Charlotte Country Day: 202 yards passing, one touchdown, plus 39 yards rushing in a 35-14 win over rival Providence Day.
Chancery Bowman, Mallard Creek: 16 carries for 188 yards and three touchdowns in a 52-35 win over A.L. Brown.
Dupree Hart, Rock Hill Northwestern: Ran eight times for 160 yards and three touchdowns in a 66-19 win over Nation Ford. Hart completed 15-of-20 passes for 244 yards and two scores.
Kelvin Hopkins, Independence: In a 50-14 win over Myers Park, Hopkins ran 10 times for 88 yards and two scores. He completed 8-of-11 passes for 110 yards and a score. Deion Washington had a 50-yard punt return for the unbeaten Patriots, who had a 20-yard fumble return for a score from Jimmel Twine.
Damon Johnson, A.L. Brown: Ran nine times for 161 yards and a score in a 52-35 loss to Mallard Creek.
Daniel Jones, Charlotte Latin: 15-for-25 passing for 275 yards and five touchdowns. He ran 11 times for 77 yards in a 48-19 win over Davidson Day.
Josh Ladowski, Lake Norman: 21-for-35 for 351 yards, four touchdowns, plus 16 rushes for 162 yards and four touchdowns in a 56-28 win over North Lincoln.
Anthony Ratliff-Williams, Butler: 9-for-11 passing for 190 yards, three touchdowns; ran seven times for 143 yards and three touchdowns in a 55-0 win over Porter Ridge.
Marquis Robinson, Olympic: 24 carries for 134 yards in a 20-19 loss to South Mecklenburg.
James Smith, Mallard Creek: Ran 12 times for 175 yards and three touchdowns in a 52-35 win over A.L. Brown. He was 11-for-19 passing for 104 yards and another score.
Donnavan Spencer, Vance: 13 rushes for 111 in a 21-14 win over Vance. Spencer, who set Mecklenburg County’s single-game rushing record (405 yards) earlier this season, scored the game-winner TD with just under three minutes to play.
No. 15 Charlotte Latin 48, No. 14 Davidson Day 19: Davidson Day (8-1) ran 79 plays, 20 more than Latin, but suffered three turnovers. Latin (8-1) jumped out to a 21-0 lead as Hawks QB Daniel Jones started the game with three touchdown passes. Jones finished with 272 yards passing and five touchdowns, completing 15-of-25 attempts. He ran 11 times for 77 yards as Latin built a 35-7 lead in the middle of the third quarter. Davidson Day’s Anthony DiGioia threw 53 times, completing 23, for 264 yards and two scores.
Charlotte Country Day 35, Providence Day 14: Country Day jumped out to a 21-0 lead at Providence Day Friday in the first half and then pushed it to 28-0 in the third quarter. Country Day’s Sheppard Wilson had three first half touchdown runs and finished the game with four scores. Providence Day got a 4-yard score from Max Pearson and a 9-yard pass from John Schweitzer to Tommy Downing.
No. 4 Charlotte Christian 44, Raleigh Ravenscroft 0: The Knights (8-1) allowed Ravenscroft a total of 113 yards on 36 plays in an easy win. Christian led 30-0 at halftime. Knights running back Elijah Deveaux rushed 20 times for 187 yards and four touchdowns.
Ardrey Kell 32, Berry 16: The Knights (7-2, 4-1 SoMeck 8) stayed one game behind league leaders Charlotte Catholic and Providence with two games to play. The Knights play at Charlotte Catholic next Friday and can improve their position. Berry (3-6, 1-4) has lost four of its last five games.
Providence 54, Harding 6: Providence (8-1, 5-0 SoMeck 8) won its eighth straight game and remained tied with Charlotte Catholic for first place. The Panthers play at South Mecklenburg (7-2, 4-1) next week and finish the season at home with Catholic Nov. 7. Harding fell to 1-7, 0-5.
East Mecklenburg 52, Garinger 6: The Eagles (2-7, 1-3 Southwestern 4A) snapped a four-game losing streak and topped 50 points for the second time this season. East beat Harding 58-6 Sept. 15. Garinger (0-8, 0-5) has lost 28 straight games and has not won since beating Harding 16-14 Oct. 21, 2011.

3-127: After missing three games with an ankle injury, Mooresville’s Akease Rankin returned Friday against West Iredell. His first three carries went for 127 yards and three scores. Mooresville won 59-20. Rankin finished with 10 carries for 228 yards and four touchdowns.
11.3/11.2: Nate Mullen of Hickory Ridge ran 9 times for 102 yards (11.3 yards per attempt) in Friday’s 44-14 win over South Rowan. Teammate Greg Waslo, who completed 7-of-8 passes, ran 6 times for 67 yards (11.2 per carry)
977: South Iredell’s Chris Holmes ran 21 times for 217 yards and two touchdowns in a 50-42 win over Alexander Central. In his last four games, Holmes has rushed 80 times for 977 yards and 10 touchdowns.
