Charlotte-Area High School Football Players of the Week

Bryon Collins, East Mecklenburg: Ran 20 times for a school-record 294 yards and three touchdowns in a 52-6 victory against Garinger. East Meck snapped a four-game losing streak. The previous record, 277 yards, was set by Carlos Horton in 1992. Collins is tied for the 35th-best rushing performance in Mecklenburg County history.

Dupree Hart, Rock Hill Northwestern: Ran eight times for 160 yards and three touchdowns in a 66-19 victory against Nation Ford. He completed 15 of 20 passes for 244 yards and two touchdowns.

Josh Ladowski, Lake Norman: Was 21-for-35 for 351 yards and four touchdowns in a 56-28 victory against North Lincoln. He ran 16 times for 162 yards and four touchdowns.

Daniel Jones, Charlotte Latin: Completed 15 of 25 passes for 272 yards and five touchdowns in a 48-19 victory against Davidson Day.

Cole Bloomer, Charlotte Country Day: Had 202 yards passing and a touchdown in a 35-14 victory against Providence Day. He also ran for 39 yards.
