Observer’s Sweet 16 football poll 10.27.14

After falling out of the Observer’s Sweet 16 poll two weeks ago, South Meck’s Sabres are back.

South Meck (7-2) rallied to beat Olympic 20-19 Friday. The Sabres trailed 19-6 in the middle of the third quarter but kept hopes alive for a SoMeck 8 conference title with a late rally.

Defensive lineman Zack Gilbert scored the game-winner for the Sabres, who play Providence on Friday. The Sabres trail Providence and Charlotte Catholic by one game in the league standings.
