West Charlotte athletics director Titus Ivory will not return next fall.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools has posted an opening for the West Charlotte AD job. Contacted by the Observer, Ivory respectfully declined comment. Ivory started with the Lions in August. He’s a former multi-sport star at North Mecklenburg who later played college basketball at Penn State. His late father, Titus Sr., was a football star at West Charlotte who was one of the first black players to play in the Shrine Bowl.
With West Charlotte, there are now five open AD jobs in the county: Berry, Hopewell, Independence and Olympic.
