Butler High will host Western Alamance Friday at 7 p.m.
An error on a local website had listed the game as being played at a neutral site in Charlotte. Butler athletics director Courtney Paschal confirmed the game is at Butler Sept. 4.
Western Alamance, which went to four straight state finals from 2004-07 under current Mooresville coach Hal Capps, is 2-0. The team is averaging more than 50 points per game and travels for its first out-of-county non-conference game in three years. Western Alamance has won 12 straight non-conference games and hasn’t lost one since 2011.
Butler tries to bounce back from last week’s 24-10 loss at nationally ranked Mallard Creek and must not look at head to next week’s 4A powerhouse showdown at Richmond Senior.
