Held without a hit through six innings, the Charlotte Knights made the most out of two hits in the seventh en route to a 4-0 victory over the Indianapolis Indians Friday night at BB&T BallPark.
Tyler Glasnow didn’t allow the Knights a hit, but he walked six and was removed after the sixth inning, giving way to Kelvin Marte (2-2). The Knights (34-34) took advantage, as Vinny Rottino walked to open the inning, went to second on a sacrifice and scored on a double by Brett Hayes. Leury Garcia followed with a single that scored Hayes. Garcia came around to score on a groundout after advancing to third on a balk, giving Charlotte a 3-0 lead.
Anthony Ranaudo (3-2) was masterful for the Knights, allowing no runs and five hits in eight innings.
