Chris Dominguez homered and had three hits, and Henry Owens allowed just one hit over 7 2/3 innings as the Pawtucket Red Sox topped the Charlotte Knights 6-4 on Saturday.
Owens (6-5) allowed three runs while striking out four and walking two to pick up the win.
Pawtucket started the scoring with a big third inning, when Ryan LaMarre hit a two-run single and Chris Marrero hit a two-run home run.
After Pawtucket added two runs in the sixth, the Knights cut into the deficit in the eighth inning when Jason Bourgeois hit a three-run double.
The Knights saw their comeback attempt come up short after Jason Coats scored on a ground out in the ninth inning to cut the Pawtucket lead to 6-4.
Chris Volstad (6-8) went six innings, allowing six runs and 10 hits in the International League game.
Pawtucket improved to 4-2 against Charlotte this season.
