Pedro Florimon drove in two runs in the seventh inning on Friday for the winning score in a 3-1 win for the Indians against the Charlotte Knights.
Josh Bell opened the inning with a double for the Indians (50-50) and Jason Rogers walked. The Knights brought in pitcher Chris Beck, who got Jose Osuna to ground out, and struck out Willy Garcia. Beck intentionally walked Danny Oritz, who had singled in the third, then gave up the single to switch-hitter Florimon, who was hitting .310 over his previous ten games.
The four-game series continues Saturday at 7:05 p.m., with Tyler Danish (1-2, 9.37 ERA) scheduled to pitch for Charlotte (45-55). Chad Kuhl (6-2, 2.58) is scheduled for Indianapolis.
