▪ There were plenty of unused seats in the lower bowl of Time Warner Cable Arena on Wednesday. The Sacramento Kings aren’t the sexiest of opponents and the Charlotte Hornets were competing with ACC tournament games on television.

▪ Kemba Walker played for the first time in 19 games following surgery on his left knee. Walker got a standing ovation from the crowd when he entered the game midway through the first quarter. Hornets coach Steve Clifford said the plan for Walker would be to play him about nine minutes off the bench each half for a couple of games before upping his workload.

▪ The Hornets played without power forward Cody Zeller on Wednesday after he sprained his right shoulder in Monday’s home loss to the Washington Wizards. Clifford anticipates Zeller also missing Friday’s home game against the Chicago Bulls. According to Clifford, Zeller can’t raise his right arm above his shoulder.
