Under Armour’s loss is apparently Jordan Brand’s gain when it comes to Charlotte Hornets point guard Kemba Walker.

Walker has been wearing Jordans at Hornets practices in China. He confirmed Saturday that he’s switched from Under Armour, which he endorsed previously in the NBA, to the sneakers Hornets owner Michael Jordan made famous.

He did so while needling Jordan’s daughter, Jasmine, who works for the Hornets as coordinator of basketball operations.

When I asked Kemba if he was now a Jordan Brand guy (joining Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Cody Zeller), Walker turned dramatically in Jasmine’s direction and sighed, “Unfortunately…” with a deadpan look like he was crushed.

I cracked up, Kemba cracked up, Jasmine cracked up. Hopefully MJ will, too, if he hears about it.
