Charlotte Hornets point guard Kemba Walker was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week Monday after averaging 27.8 points in the applicable games.
This is Walker’s fourth Player of the Week award and second this season. He also received the award for the week ending Jan. 24.
The Hornets went 4-0 in the games that applied to this award. They entered Monday’s home game against the Dallas Mavericks on a seven-game winning streak, longest in the NBA.
In the four games Walker averaged four 3-point field goals made, 6.8 assists and five rebounds. He shot 53.8 percent from the field and 51.5 percent from 3-point range.

The first two of these games completed a four-game span when Walker reached 30 points in each game.
