The NBA acknowledged in its daily Officiating Last Two Minute Report that Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade should have been charged with a foul in the closing seconds of the Heat’s Game 6 victory Friday.
Wade blocked Hornets point guard Kemba Walker’s layup attempt with 16.8 seconds left and the Hornets trailing by five. The league said a review of that play showed Wade made contact with Walker’s head during Walker’s shot attempt.
Heat forward Udonis Haslem rebounded Walker’s miss and Hornets center Cody Zeller was forced to foul Miami’s Joe Johnson at the other end of the court. Johnson made both free throws, accounting for the 97-90 final margin.
