Matchup to Watch

Kemba Walker vs. John Wall: Another Connecticut-Kentucky matchup for the week, huh? Wall has played well all season, while the second half of Walker’s season has shown great improvement, particularly as a facilitator.

• Obviously this game could have major implications on playoff seeding, since the Bobcats are a game behind the Wizards with a handful left. If the Bobcats win, they win the season series 3-1 to take the tiebreaker. If the Wizards win, their divisional record should carry the tiebreaker.

• Washington shooting guard

Bradley Beal

is one of the NBA’s best 3-point threats (40.5 percent) and one of the Bobcats’ few defensive liabilities is the 3-point shot.

• Bobcats power forward

Josh McRoberts

plans to play after missing the past three games with a sprained ankle.

• Wizards forward-center

practiced Monday and Tuesday after missing the past six weeks with a severe knee sprain. He intends to play vs. the Bobcats but likely only limited minutes.

Did you know?

If the Bobcats win at least two of their final five games, they will clinch a .500 or better record for the second time in franchise history.
