• The Hornets’ reintegration to Charlotte can now truly be considered complete. “Super Hugo,” the more acrobatic and daredevil alter ego of the original Hugo the Hornet mascot, made his return during the break between the first and second quarters. Needless to say, the dunking antics of Super Hugo Version 2.0 were just as impressive as the first.

• The Magic entered Friday night’s game leading the NBA in 3-point shooting, averaging 45.1 over its last eight games. Orlando went 0-for-5 in the first half and didn’t connect on a long-range shot until Evan Fournier hit from the far baseline with seven minutes, 33 seconds left in the third-quarter.

• Everything the Hornets had prevented the Magic from getting for three quarters – hitting from the outside and easy inside baskets – fueled Orlando’s comeback in the fourth quarter. It didn’t help that twice in the final minutes of the game, the Hornets appeared to come away with a possession after missed Magic shots only to see the rulings reversed via instant replay.
