Matchup to Watch
Kemba Walker vs. Deron Williams: Williams has had some huge games against this franchise. He’s one of the bigger, more physical point guards, which can be a problem to the relatively small Walker.
• This is the sixth set of back-to-back games for the Hornets already about one-quarter into an 82-game regular season. That’s rough.
• The Nets have been floating along at just below .500, but they’ve had some strong moments, including a home victory over the San Antonio Spurs.
• The Nets have been without some key pieces lately; Joe Johnson missed four days with the flu and Brook Lopez has been recovering from a lower back strain.
• The recent injuries have opened up some minutes for former Duke big man Mason Plumlee.
Did you know?
Just two current Brooklyn players – Plumlee and Lopez – were drafted by the Nets. By comparison, eight current Hornets were drafted by the franchise.
