Charlotte Hornets’ Brian Roberts now alone as season-long player

• With point guard Kemba Walker missing the Pacers game with a sore knee, his backup, Brian Roberts is now the only Hornet who has played in all 41 games so far this season. The inflammation in Walker’s left knee is caused by a cyst he has had since high school. Coach Steve Clifford said Walker might miss more than one game before being well enough to play.

• With Walker and Jannero Pargo (sore lower back) both out, shooting guards Gary Neal and Lance Stephenson were Roberts’ backups at the point. Clifford planned to try Neal first in that role, since he played point guard with the San Antonio Spurs.

• Gerald Henderson played Saturday despite a case of the flu that caused him to miss Friday’spractice. Clifford went into the game with no idea how long Henderson could play effectively.

• The Martin Luther King Day holiday on Monday means a rarity at Time Warner Cable Arena – a 2 p.m. tip-off against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
