Tracking the Redskins

Quarterback Jason Campbell has been, if nothing else, efficient this preseason. He's completing 75 percent of his passes as the Redskins have won their first three games. He's completed 24 of 32 passes for 181 yards and a touchdown.

The daughter of offensive line coach Joe Bugel died Thursday. Holly Bugel, 36, had bone cancer.

First-year coach Jim Zorn told reporters the Redskins might play a lot of nickel defense tonight because of an injury-depleted linebacker corps. Starting strongside linebacker Marcus Washington might miss the game with an injured hip.

Panthers general manager Marty Hurney once saw the Redskins from both sides of the media fence: He was a member of the team's media relations staff 1988-89 and previously covered the team for the Washington Times. David Scott
