The Seattle Seahawks nabbed tackle Andrew McDonald off the Carolina Panthers’ practice squad Monday, signing the second-year player to their 53-man active roster.
McDonald had been with Carolina since October following Miami cutting him. He was part of the Miami Dolphins’ bullying scandal last year, and earlier this year he underwent surgery for testicular cancer. The doctors believed they caught it before it spread, McDonald said in June.
The Panthers did not sign anyone to their practice squad Monday and sit at nine players in the group.
