Carolina Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly didn’t care the hand-written apology letter from the league. He didn’t care that they said they erred in throwing him out of the Green Bay game last week.
He was just glad he didn’t lose any money.
“I think it was Monday or Tuesday we found out I didn’t get fined,” Kuechly said. “It put a big smile on my face and that’s all I could really hope for.
“You know what? What came down was I didn’t get fined, and I was A-OK with that.”
Kuechly was ejected from Sunday’s game when he flung his elbow near an official while being pulled away from a pile. Kuechly didn’t know it was an official behind him, but it didn’t matter.
Early this week, the NFL informed Rivera that Kuechly should not have been ejected from the game and he would not be subject to the $27,562 fine.
