Carolina Panthers receiver Philly Brown day-to-day with sprained shoulder

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Philly Brown suffered a sprained right shoulder during Sunday’s 41-10 victory over the New Orleans Saints, and his status is day-to-day.

X rays were negative on Brown’s shoulder, Panthers coach Ron Rivera said Monday, but Rivera seemed hesitant to say Brown would practice Wednesday. Brown indicated he would be on the practice field.

Also, linebacker A.J. Klein suffered a sprained left knee during the game and is also day-to-day. Klein played eight snaps before he was injured. Klein had a wrap on his knee and was walked stiff-legged in the locker room.
