A classy breakfast restaurant whose head chef worked in Michelin-starred restaurants and others for 10 years in Europe and Asia is opening soon in downtown Mooresville.

Dark Bulls will open at 178 N. Main St., according to signs in the front windows of the building that an Observer reporter noticed Saturday.

The signs displayed enlarged color photos of croissants and sunny-side-up eggs. One sign included the restaurant’s Instagram handle, @Dark_Bulls_NC.

“Hungry?” the signs read. “Opening Soon.”

No opening date has been announced.

Replying to the curious on Instagram, the owners — a couple with a private Instagram account —promised “an extraordinary menu and unique presentation for customers. We will definitely share it soon.”

The owners haven’t released the chef’s name or more about the chef’s background and where he or she previously worked.

On Instagram, the restaurant at least gave a tiny hint about its fare.

“Have you tried an unforgettable breakfast and delicious, aromatic coffee?” read the post. “If not, we are opening soon.”
