South End fire station changes to a …: The old fire station on South Boulevard at Arlington Ave., near the Dowd Y, has gotten a $1.65 million offer from Lat Purser & Associates. The company won’t reveal its plans, but Charlotte officials expect the brick building to be preserved in some fashion. Possibly South End’s newest bar?
Plaza Midwood’s international flair continues: Sushi Guru may be headed to Plaza Midwood. Real estate records show the restaurant is looking at space near Whiskey Warehouse, across from the Teeter. There’s another Sushi Guru in SouthPark, behind Rooster’s restaurant.
