Cam gets in wreck. Why you gotta be so rude?
When Panthers quarterback Cam Newton got into a car crash Tuesday afternoon in uptown, suffering two back fractures, social media lit up. At first nobody knew for sure how badly he was injured. His pickup truck was mauled and the Buick he collided with was in ruins.
But as news dribbled out, it appeared Cam would ultimately be okay. He’ll likely not play this week, but the young QB is expected to leave the hospital today.
The vast number of Tweets and CharlotteObserver.com comments were filled with concern and well wishes. But some … were not:
