Wells Fargo is adding 83 jobs to Charlotte.

— The stagecoach bank is relocating about 140 jobs from its Philadelphia office to its Charlotte and Arizona offices.

— Honchos say they can operate more efficiently in Charlotte

— The to-be-relocated group produces customer banking records requested by the government, law firms, etc.

— Wells employs about 22,000 in the Charlotte area; 1,400 of those were added in the last year

Usually the bank announcements are about layoffs. We like this direction better.
