Patrick Cannon makes Charlotte history by becoming our first mayor to report to prison. We’re world-class now, Charlotte!

The Facts

– For pleading guilty to accepting more than $50K in bribes, Cannon reports today to a minimum-security federal prison in Morgantown, West Virginia. His sentence is 44 months, but he could get out in 18.

– Cannon once proclaimed he looked in orange ties, but not orange suits. In prison, he’ll wear the prison jumpsuit and earn 12 to 40 cents an hour working a TBD job.
