The founder of Dilworth Coffee is suing the owner of Dilworth Espresso, arguing the new shop rips off his chain’s name and concept.

The Facts

– Dilworth Coffee’s Don Keen says since his biz is trademarked, no other coffee shops in the Dilworth can operate under a similar name. Dilworth Espresso owner Philip Gerlach says nobody can own the name of a neighborhood.

– Muddying the waters, Dilworth Espresso has opened in the same storefront as the original Dilworth Coffee on East Boulevard.
