F.S.O. presents Phenomenal Women: Hear from “Clair Huxtable” and more

One of the largest African-American entertainment and empowerment expos is back in town this weekend in uptown Charlotte.

Created by local radio stations V 101.9 and Power 98, “F.S.O. presents Phenomenal Women” is happening on Saturday, May 30, at the Charlotte Convention Center from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Browse more than 100 vendors during the 13th annual F.S.O. event. Check out their products and services in the categories of health/nutrition, beauty, fitness, financial planning and beyond that cater to every female’s tastes. (Don’t worry guys…there is plenty of stuff for you to do there, too. Come find out.)

The lowdown:

– Ever want to be inspired by actress Phylicia Rashad, aka everyone’s favorite sitcom mom Clair Huxtable?  She’s the keynote speaker.

//><!--– Charlotte’s own Anthony Hamilton will perform his classic R&B hits like “Charlene” and “The Best of Me.”//--><!

– Another talented R&B singer, Leela James, will hit the main stage. Gospel singers will open up the show, which includes Anthony Brown and Greta Manning.

– In the mood for a candid conversation? Tune in to Elisa Garner and the “Black Lives Matter” panel, or get tips on succeeding in the hip-hop industry from Damon Dash.

– V 101.9’s midday diva Artie the One Woman Party will be giving “mommy makeovers.”

– Can’t get enough of “The Real Housewives of ATL?”  Kenya Moore will hopefully be acting “Gone with the Wind fabulous.”

– Carolina Panthers’ Thomas Davis will be sharing his story about winning the 2015 NFL Man of the Year Award for his local Defending Dreams Foundation.

– The F.S.O. Fashion Show hosted by Power 98’s Yasmin Young of “The Morning Maddhouse” showcases the hottest styles from local boutiques and designers in the Queen City.

– Mr. Incognito of Power 98 will set the “World’s Largest Line Dance” into motion.
