Baby is back: Remake of Dirty Dancing to be filmed in NC

Several media outlets are reporting that a 3-part mini-series version of the 1987 mega movie “Dirty Dancing” will be shot in the Carolinas.

The Facts
– According to documents with the N.C. Department of Commerce, it will be shot this spring in possibly Asheville, Cashiers, Winston-Salem and Greensboro.
– Will air as a three-part mini-series on ABC.
– The state gave $4 million in incentives to score the project.
– Some 1,300 jobs will be created around the 2-month filming.
