Celebrating its first merger birthday with US Airways, American Airlines unveils some serious money improvements to its hubs and planes.
The Facts
Charlotte-Douglas users, prepare to be feted. As American’s second busiest hub, CLT can expect:
- Remodeled Admirals Clubs. New bathrooms, showers, technology — even better food, including crudités (don’t get too excited — those are just cut up veggies with ranch.)
- Faster check-in kiosks.
- Work stations at gates, with device e-charging stations.
- On board: seatback entertainment systems, a walk-up bar (!), power ports, lie-flat business seats (upgrades vary with plane model)
