Infographic: 5 reasons why people flock to Charlotte
An infographic with the title “5 reasons everyone is moving to Charlotte” showed up in the CharlotteFive inbox this week.
Charlotte’s great. We could easily think of five reasons why everyone should come here. But why does SpareFoot Charlotte Self Storage (which provided the graphic) think people are moving here?
The graphic, with some thoughts below.
1. Popularity. Speaking of popularity, did you know Trip Advisor names a jaunt to The Billy Graham Library as No. 1 in the list of “197 things to do in Charlotte?”
2. An affinity for raising the bar. CrossFitters have this, too; just add weights. And a 16 percent dropout rate due to overuse or injury.
3. We Charlotteans are rolling in money. Ohhhh really? What about the fact that 260,000 U.S. college graduates were making minimum wage in 2013?
4. Job options. Banking, anyone? Bank of America and Wells Fargo make up a huge part of the Charlotte workforce.
5. A sweet selection of self-storage spots. Not surprising that this excites a global human population that “uses the equivalent of 1.5 planets to provide the resources we use and absorb our waste.”
