Share an Uber with Tiger at the Wells Fargo Championship
The Story
The Wells Fargo Championship is offering a new transportation option this year: Uber.
The Facts
– A special lot close to the Quail Hollow Club entrance will be designated for Uber, taxis or limos this year during the tournament, which runs May 11-17
You should be able to call for the beverage cart on the golf course like you call for an @Uber
— CJ (@CatieJ_) April 19, 2015
– UBER requests can be made through WFCGOLF vehicle view.
– For every ride taken on that view, Uber will donate to Champions for Education.
– Special promo code for a free first ever Uber ride, up to $20: WFCGOLF15
– Tournament officials added the option after many requests from spectators, especially young people
– Tournament attracts around 180,000 visitors
Beware
Uber anticipates high demand during the tournament. When demand is high and the supply of available drivers is low, Uber implements “dynamic pricing,” or higher prices.
C5’s Take
This is the must-attend social scene of the spring. Now, you can drink your cocktails in your Lilly Pulitzer and not worry about driving home. Win!
