The 2018 Charlotte Neighborhood Bracket Round 3: Which of these 8 neighborhoods is Charlotte’s best?

For the big upset in the Sizzling Sixteen, 10-seed Fourth Ward dominated 7-seed First Ward. The score was 67 percent to 33 percent, with Fourth Ward advancing to the quarterfinals round of the 2018 Charlotte Neighborhood Bracket, the Extraordinary Eight.

One of these awesome neighborhoods will be crowned the city’s best.

It’s time for Round 3: The Extraordinary Eight.

Each neighborhood has its draws.

NoDa has Haberdish, NoDa Company Store and artsy murals.

Dilworth has Dilworth Tasting Room, Foxcroft Wine Co. and Freedom Park.

South End has Zeppelin, Backstage Lounge and the Charlotte Rail Trail.

Downtown Davidson has Kindred, the Pickled Peach and the lake.

Plaza Midwood has Soul Gastrolounge, the Beav and Skylark Social Club.

Fourth Ward has 5Church, Basil Thai and Discovery Place Science.

Elizabeth has Earl’s Grocery, Customshop and the streetcar.

Montford/Madison Park/Park Road Shopping Center has Dot Dot Dot, Good Food on Montford and Jeff’s Bucket Shop.

Now, it’s time to vote.

The voting works the same way as Round 2: One vote per person per day, and you should vote in every matchup each day. We rated the neighborhoods on things like restaurant/bar scene, shopping, location, potential and general coolness, so keep those in mind when you’re voting. The polls close each day at 6 p.m. 

The finals are Monday, March 19. We’ll announce Charlotte’s best neighborhood Tuesday, March 20.
