The 2018 Charlotte Neighborhood Bracket semifinals: Which of these 4 neighborhoods is Charlotte’s best?
There are only four teams left in the 2018 Charlotte Neighborhood Bracket. Dilworth, South End, Montford/Madison Park/Park Road Shopping Center and Plaza Midwood have advanced to the semifinals.
And they’re all looking strong.
For a shocking plot twist yesterday, 8-seed Dilworth took down No. 1 seed and last year’s bracket champion, NoDa, 52-percent of the vote to 48-percent. Will Dilworth’s quaint dining and residential scene stand up against South End’s apartment boom and hip bars and breweries?
Meanwhile, 6-seed Montford/Madison Park/Park Road Shopping Center claimed victory over 3-seed Elizabeth by a landslide — 72-percent of the vote to 28. In the semis, will shopping-center-centric Montford conquer Plaza Midwood’s coolness?
We’re so close to finding out who will take the title of Charlotte’s best neighborhood.

The voting works the same way as Round 3: One vote per person per day, and you should vote in every matchup each day. We rated the neighborhoods on things like restaurant/bar scene, shopping, location, potential and general coolness, so keep those in mind when you’re voting. The polls close each day at 6 p.m.
The finals are Monday, March 19. We’ll announce Charlotte’s best neighborhood Tuesday, March 20.
And remember: This is all just for fun.
