The 2018 Charlotte Neighborhood Bracket finals: Which of these 2 neighborhoods is Charlotte’s best?
The semifinals of the 2018 Charlotte Neighborhood Bracket were a nail-biter, with 8-seed Dilworth pitted against 4-seed South End, and 2-seed Plaza Midwood fighting 6-seed Montford/Madison Park/Park Road Shopping Center.
Both sides of the bracket were shattered by the underdogs.
That’s right, underdog Dilworth eked out a win against South End by 2-percent of the vote, winning 51-49.
On the other side of the bracket, Montford/Madison Park/Park Road Shopping Center roared past Plaza Midwood (they didn’t even see it coming!) 66-percent of the vote to 34-percent.
What a competition this has been, indeed.
There’s just one matchup left. Who will take the title of Charlotte’s best neighborhood?
Dilworth, with its jogger-friendly sidewalks (and “Timeline” sculpture, above), Yoga One and Be Yoga studios, Inizio Pizza and Babalu lunch hotspots, and cocktail spots like The Summit Room and Kid Cashew?
Montford/Madison Park/Park Road Shopping Center, with its row of hangouts via Montford, Charlotte Yoga and Core Power Yoga studios, Co and Midwood Smokehouse dining hotspots, and beverage spots like Dot Dot Dot and Brazwells?
Only today’s vote can tell.

Vote in the final round:
The voting works the same way as Round 4: One vote per person per day, and you should vote in every matchup each day. We rated the neighborhoods on things like restaurant/bar scene, shopping, location, potential and general coolness, so keep those in mind when you’re voting. The polls close each day at 6 p.m.
And remember: This is all just for fun.
