Another change coming to Charlotte’s skyline ... and other development news
A few development updates:
New high-rise apartment complex
Greystar is building a new 32-story apartment tower at Third and Poplar streets in uptown, down the street from Knights Stadium and across from Romare Bearden Park.
This week, a design firm released a rendering:
– More than 300 units
– About 3,200 square feet of retail at its base and a habitable roof.
– Construction to start in late winter 2015. Groundbreaking TBA.
Fresh Market coming to Dilworth
– Grocery store Fresh Market is moving into the former Black Lion space in Dilworth Commons Shopping Center, at Scott Avenue and East Boulevard.
– About 14,000 square feet, just a bit bigger than a Trader Joe’s
– Fourth Fresh Market in Charlotte

Anthropologie coming to South End’s Atherton Mill
– Clothing retailer will take 8,700 square feet
– To locate beside Luna’s Living Kitchen
– Expected fall opening
