4 chances to beta test a new mobile app and get a free beer this October [Partner]
Last week we wrote all about Cloosiv, a new app that could revolutionize the way you shop for everything from beer to blue jeans and beyond.
Now, Cloosiv team is asking people in the Charlotte community to come out and beta test this new mobile app’s order-and-pay functionality at four local breweries—and the first drink that you order through the app during The Beta Brewery Tour will be on Cloosiv.
The Beta Brewery Tour will kick off on Oct. 18, and will include stops at the following breweries:
- Lenny Boy Brewing Co. on Wednesday Oct. 18
- NoDa Brewing Company on Monday Oct. 23
- The Unknown Brewing Co. on Tuesday Oct. 24
- Resident Culture Brewing on Wednesday Oct. 25
For a little background on what you’d actually be testing during the tour: Cloosiv is a single app that provides customers with control of their end-to-end buying experience. Users have the freedom to engage in the app’s service regardless of who they are, where they are, or what they’re buying.
“Why have different apps on your phone for every store that you shop from, when you could have just one app that allowed you to shop from all of those stores in one place?” said Tim Griffin, founder and CEO of Cloosiv. “And imagine using that same app when ordering food from your favorite restaurants, drinks from your favorite coffee shops and breweries, and more.”
The app’s order-and-pay functionality is ready to be beta tested, which will be the goal of The Beta Brewery Tour. The Cloosiv team wants consumers to come out to four local breweries, download the app, and order a drink from their phone.
Once they’ve gone through this process, Cloosiv hopes consumers will provide feedback on the experience that can be utilized to implement improvements before the app officially rolls out at merchants throughout Charlotte.
“There’s no better environment to get honest feedback in Charlotte than at a brewery, where we can buy you a beer and let you try something new,” said Griffin. “What does it feel like when you buy a beer? How else would you want to use this app? This is your opportunity to shape the future of the product. It’s not built solely for breweries, but to us, a brewery seemed like the best place to start.”
The app is currently only available in the iOS App Store, so The Beta Brewery Tour is primarily targeted at iPhone users—unfortunately Android users will not get the chance to beta test the app at this point in time.
In addition to getting customer and merchant feedback on what worked and what didn’t work during this beta test, Cloosiv will also be donating $1 of every beer purchased through the Cloosiv app during the tour to ACEing Autism.
Join Cloosiv during The Beta Brewery Tour Oct. 18 – 25 for your chance to get a free drink and provide feedback for a new mobile app that calls itself “the next evolution of buying.”
