The Vue, once a symbol of the recession, now draws renters paying a premium. With the apartment boom in full swing, the Vue finally welcomes residents to their ultra-luxe uptown tower.
The Facts
- Charlotte’s largest condo tower announced in 2005, opened in 2010 located at 5th & Pine.
- The tower is at 95% leased (all-time high).
- Rent ranges from $1,299 – $7,790 per month.
- Amenities include a gym, fitness and yoga classes, a golf simulator and 50th-floor Sky Lounge room for residents.

C5’s Take
The uptown (and surrounding area) apartment boom comes with mixed feelings. On one hand, more urban living matches Charlotte’s desire to have a vibrant and active uptown experience. On the other hand, these condos are coming at a cost that most people in the 22-35 age range cannot necessarily afford. In any event, more people living in the grid means more restaurants and retail open past 5pm. We’re bullish on Uptown.
