The Story

Film crews are in Cabarrus County this week shooting at Central Cabarrus High for the upcoming movie “Paper Towns,” based on the book by famed young adult author John Green.

The Facts

– Quick plot synopsis: A teenage boy loves an exotic teenage girl, who suddenly disappears. He follows clues to find her.

– The film is being shot throughout NC; Green’s parents live in Asheville.

– Central Cabarrus High was renamed Jefferson Park High School for filming.

– Film due out June 19.
