Alesha Sin Vanata, owner of littleSpoon in Myers Park, confirms she’s bought the former The Penguin in Plaza Midwood, and plans a new concept.

– Vanata is being coy about her plans. It won’t be pizza or burgers. It will be local, ethnic, maybe wine.
– Look for upscale casual, with prices in the range of Soul Gastrolounge’s.
– The feel will bring the spot back to its “original glory,” but more modern.
