The Facts
– Manning to speak March 26 at Winthrop University.
– The event raises money for scouting operations throughout the six-county Palmetto Council.
– Manning will clearly be a draw. The event normally registers 225 people, but organizers are expecting double.
– Although Manning was never a Boy Scout, he must like what it stands for: Last year, he spoke before 1,200 people at a Denver Sports Breakfast for Scouts.
– Not sure if Manning is donating his time, but he has commanded upward of $100K for speaking engagements.
Why we love Peyton
– He’s awesome: Super Bowl champ, all-time career leader in touchdown passes, five-time MVP.
– He has a sense of humor:
Big personality, big money
If you want to go, you better love the Scouts, too. The cheapest ticket is $1,000, which gets you two seats and VIP passes. $25K will get you 20 seats and some branding opportunities.
If only I had a $1000 to spare, I would die. #peytonmanningobsessed#heismyherohttp://t.co/AqBjWHNEou@palmettocouncil
