(1) Faison Enterprises Inc. plans to build 62 luxury apartments on 1.5 acres at the corner of Queens Road and Dartmouth Place in Myers Park. Land cost $3 million.

(2) Kendra Scott jewelry is opening its first Charlotte location at SouthPark Mall, near White House|Black Market. The bold, colorful jewelry line is hot among celebs. The 1,700-square-foot store will feature a Color Bar for customers to create their own jewelry.

(3) Matthews is getting a MooYah gourmet burger joint. The Independence and N.C. 51 location is N.C.’s first franchise.

(4) Olde Mecklenburg Brewery is expanding its state reach with a 5,000-square-foot distribution facility in Greensboro. Beer will be brought to refrigerated storage and then sent out to local bars and restaurants.
